Please note: We use Release Rings to systematically roll out new features to users in a way that minimises risk. This means that new updates aren't rolled out to every user on the day they're shipped. Instead, new versions are gradually delivered to a small percentage of customers each day within our specified Release Rings. Of course, if customers report issues with the new update, we can then pause the rollout while we investigate. So, if you can't see the newest updates yet, don't worry - you'll receive them in the next few weeks.

⬆️ New Data Importer now in Public Preview

For a while now we've been working on a new Data Importer to make it easier to import additional Companies and Contacts. Until now, this has been in Private Preview and so has been hidden from most users. But, we and a few select customers have been trialling and refining it for some time now, and we're really excited to be bringing it to Public Preview in this release!

What does that mean?

Well, it's still in Preview - so still subject to a fair amount of change based on user feedback. But there are now links in the UI to let you find it, and with a bit of extra care, it's ready for you to have a go!

This new importer will let you import either new Companies and Contacts together (i.e. a marketing list of prospective customers), or import additional Contacts for existing Companies. You can access the new importer from the People & Places menu, or from a small link in the bottom left of the Contact creation window. Alternatively, go straight there with this link!

Visit our help articles to find out more about its features, and how to use the new Data Import tools.

✨ Company Branding

We’ve added the ability to specify a theme that matches your brand. In this first iteration, you can set the primary colour and accent colour to match your company branding.

What's this for?

In the V72 release notes, we started to introduce the Quote-to-Order Workflow automation, and explained how this includes the ability for customers to approve or reject a quotation via the new Customer Portal. Well, this branding theme is used to style the pages in the Customer Portal. In future updates, it'll be made available for use in styling your email templates and possibly even your Microsoft Word templates.

You'll also notice the option to upload a logo. This isn't currently used for anything, but will be used in the Customer Portal, as well as be available for use in Email templates and Word templates, hopefully in the next release.

The branding themes can be set per Operating Company (if you run more than one company in your CRM) and is available via the Operating Company screen within the Settings Centre.

⛵ Salesperson Field Added to Cin7 & Unleashed Customer Account Creation Windows

You can now specify the Salesperson that'll be assigned to a customer account when you create them in Unleashed or Cin7. This drop-down will only list users who already exist in those systems.

🛍️ Mandatory Customer Order References

There's now a system option that allows customer order references to be made mandatory across the system (and therefore required on every order that's taken). Or, alternatively, there's a new flag at Company level that's used to make customer order references required for each customer on a case-by-case basis. This affects both the CRM and the new Quote Authorisation Portal.

🐛 Other Fixes & Updates

  • Fixed crash when creating a Quote under a Company when your delivery name option only used the Contact name

  • Fixed Data Importer requiring the Operating Company to be specified for sales ledger lookups even when only one Operating Company was configured
