As a new CRM user, it's important to make sure you have your Personal Settings configured how you like, to allow you to use the CRM seamlessly in a way best suited to you! In this guide, we take you through the Personal Settings area and provide guidance on settings you should configure.
Step 1: Navigate to Personal Settings
Navigate to your user icon in the top right-hand corner and select 'Personal Settings'.
Top Tip: If you wanted to change your CRM language, you can do so with the drop-down in the Profile menu just below 'Subscription'. Currently, the CRM can be viewed in English, German, French and English (US).
Step 2: User Settings
Within Personal Settings you can configure many aspects of your CRM experience. You can also add your own profile image which we have a detailed guide for here.
Select the "Settings" tab from the right-hand menu to see a full list of configurable options.
Some important settings you may want to review:
Date Formatting: To determine whether you'd like dates to be displayed as Actual Dates (e.g. 7 March 2019) or Relative Dates (e.g. 3 hours ago, in 2 days etc.).
Rows Per Page: Control how many rows of a Report are shown per page by default.
Colourblind Mode for Magic Matrix: This makes the Magic Matrix display background patterns rather than just relying on background colours to differentiate states. This is useful if you wanted a clear and easy distinction or would like extra visual aids.
Product Suggestions: If enabled, this option will display Product suggestions when adding Quote Lines based on the Customer's order history and the order history of other Customers in your CRM.
Email Notifications
It's also recommended to review the different types of personal notifications you can enable, so you stay informed on important updates. Check out our dedicated guide for more detail on each type of email notification.
Activity
Accessing your personal Activity can be useful to remind yourself of records you recently accessed, or notes you've just added. The 'Recently Accessed Records' also extends to Reports. So, if you couldn't remember which Report you recently used to get data, your personal Activity section can remind you!
