Please note: We use Release Rings to systematically deliver new features in a way that minimises risk. This means that updates aren't rolled out to every user on the day they're shipped. Instead, they're gradually delivered to a small percentage of customers each day within specified Release Rings. Of course, if customers report issues with an update, we'll pause the rollout while we investigate. So, if you can't see the newest updates yet, don't worry - you'll receive them in the next few days or weeks.

📊 NEW: Sales Pipeline Dashboard & Kanban Mode for Opportunity Reports

As part of a whole raft of reporting updates (see more below), we're super excited to be introducing the all-new Kanban mode. Visualise your pipeline at a glance and and Drag and drop Opportunities into the relevant status to manage your sales and maximise your team's efficiency.

This Kanban view is available via the new Sales Pipeline Dashboard (using the dropdown on the dashboard screen to switch between the different dashboards) as well as any Opportunity Report (using the new layout mode buttons in the top-right of the report menu bar).

As with all reports in the CRM, you can filter and sort the Kanban views to focus on the most important or relevant opportunities. In addition there is a specific dropdown in the report menu bar to allow users to switch between pipelines.

🖱️ Ready to check it out? Switch between Kanban and normal mode on any Opportunity Report, or head straight to the Sales Pipeline Dashboard using the drop-down to see all your open Opportunities in the new layout!

✅ More Reporting & Navigation Improvements

🔎 Report Navigation & Visibility

Navigate between Reports and Report Groups faster! Use the new drop-down icon in the title bar to switch to other Reports of the same type faster. So, if you open any Opportunity Report and find it isn't the one you wanted, then you can very quickly switch to any other Report of Opportunities in just a couple of clicks!

📌 Pin Reports

As well as switching between Reports (above) this drop-down allows you to "Pin" a Report for each entity type (Opportunities, Quotes, Problems etc.). This pinned Report will then be the first to load when you click on the entity type in the left-hand navigation menu.

For example, if you pin the new "Sales Kanban" Report then whenever you click "Sales" and then "Opportunities" in the menu, this Report will open by default, giving you faster access to the view that you use the most.

📜 Add Reports as Custom Dashboards

Via the "Configure Dashboards" link (found at bottom of the Dashboards list if you're a CRM Admin user) you can now add any CRM Report as a Dashboard (including of course Reports that are saved in Kanban Mode!).

📅 Set Custom Financial Year

This one was highly voted for in the Feedback Portal, particularly from our APAC customers - thanks to those who posted this suggestion...it's now here (with more areas of functionality taking account of this value in the next couple of releases!).

You can now set your own financial year for Cube Reports and customer sales tiles via a system option. This will affect the “month” and “year” fields in Reports written directly against cube entities, including:

  • Sales Invoices By Account Manager Cube

  • Sales Invoices By Salesperson Cube

  • Sales Orders By Account Manager Cube

  • Sales Orders By Salesperson Cube

  • Sales Transaction Cube

  • Sales Transaction Magic Matrix Cube

  • Sales Transaction Product Cube

💬 What are Cube Reports?

Cube Reports are pretty complex. They analyse sales data, then group it multiple times by different things.

For example, a Sales Transaction Cube is an entity containing:

  • A summary of all sales transactions per year so you can report on all sales for 2023, 2022, 2021 etc.

  • This same data grouped by year is then broken down into months, so you can report on all sales data for specific months in 2023, 2022, 2021 etc.

  • The same sets of data are broken down again by customer account, so you can report on all sales by a specific customer for 2023, 2022, 2021 etc., and/or by a specific year and specific month in that year

Note: in this first iteration, we've done the groundwork to add this system setting and update the cube analysis to take account of your financial year. In the next couple of releases, you'll see more values being affected by this financial year setting. For example the "Year to Date" tile on the customer view will be updated to show the financial year to date figure...but also a comparison to last financial year to date!

➡️ Expand & Collapse the Summary Section of Reports

Finally, while you might sometimes like to see the summary and totals at the top of your Report, there will be other times where you just want to maximise the working space and focus on the Report details - especially perhaps in Kanban mode where you want plenty of working space to see and drag and drop your cards.

So, there's now a small hide/expand arrow next to the summary and totals allowing you to do just that.

🐛 Other Fixes & Enhancements

  • Record creation and deletion is now recorded in an audit log to help with data queries, support issues and knowing which users did what and when.

  • You can now search Library files when attaching them to an email, making finding the right file much easier and faster - especially if you've built up a substantial library!

  • The Global Search now also searches for Phone Numbers. This additional searching is definitely useful but not perfect (phone number formats are complex), so we'll be gathering feedback on this feature as we look to improve it in future releases.

  • If you dismiss the Intercom chat icon at the bottom, then start chatting again via the help menu, it will reappear until closed again (with the little 'x' icon which appears when the mouse hovers over the chat icon).

  • A system option has been added that will add the Access Dimensions pricing procedure to the 15 minute maintenance.

  • Added a “Value” field to the default Opportunity import.

  • Added an automatic retry to PDF generation to avoid transient errors.

  • Added email and address5 to the fields that are populated by ledger creation in the CMS.

  • The word “Custom” has been replaced with “Unmapped” in the Enquiry Web Forms editor mapping drop-down to avoid confusion with mapping "Custom Fields".

  • Added “Access Financials” to the list of supported Accounts integrations.

  • Added “Custom ERP/Accounts Integration” as an option on the Integrations page.

  • Added the “Enable/disable” checkbox to favourite filters mode.

  • Fixed a bug where the “Opportunities without pipelines” warning could be shown incorrectly.

  • Fixed an inefficient query when toggling the user list “licensed users only” option.

  • Fixed a missing translation on the foreign currency slideover.

  • Fixed a crash when trying to save Customiser changes.

  • Fixed a bug where the Xero auto-signup product question could be partially obscured by the Dashboard blur.

  • Fixed a bug where the purchase ledger duplicate check on Exchequer sledger creation would fail due to an incorrect “tempaccount” check.

  • Removed erroneous mentions of “Weight” from the delivery charges system option.

  • Resolved an issue where CRM Workspace Admin permission was being checked instead of Account Admin when adding new users.

  • Fixed a bug in the Unleashed tax procedure that could cause it to select a purchase tax rate if it had the same code as the selected sales tax rate.

  • Fixed a bug with the CMS product item plugin where the “add to basket” button wouldn't appear in some configurations.

  • Added business logic to ensure that the Opportunity or Quote part of a combined OpportunityQuote will automatically get deleted if the other part is.

  • Fixed a crash when adding an empty “startswith” filter.

  • Fixed an issue where expanding elements of the Welcome page could cause the element you’re expanding to scroll off the page.

  • Fixed an issue where some drop-downs would detach from their input field when filtered.

  • Fixed an issue where “get help with X” in the Global Search didn’t escape special characters.

  • Fixed an issue where email sending failures could leave undeleted attachments against the record.

  • Fixed a bug where adding multiple criteria to a drop-down filter using “and” could corrupt the filter UI.

  • Updated the delivery charge settings screen to prevent the selection of products without the “never diminishing” flag set in Unleashed.

  • Fixed a bug where your token wouldn't be renewed if it expired during certain calls.

  • Fixed a crash where using an apostrophe in the sales ledger name would prevent it from being created in Access Dimensions.

  • Fixed a bug with Gmail Save to CRM failing to find previously saved documents.

  • Fixed a bug where customising in the sales ledger currency on a Company would cause the wrong data to be displayed if there was no ledger assigned.

  • Resolved an issue with Save to CRM failing to display the correct error message for oversized attachments since the limit in Exchange was updated from 1MB to 5MB.

  • Added business logic to explicitly prevent the creation of sales ledgers with blank IDs.

  • Fixed a bug where the wrong tax code could be assigned to a Quote during creation for Unleashed.

  • Fixed a bug where null dates weren't populated as blank in merge data.

  • Fixed a crash when exporting Reports that included the Tags field.

  • Increased the timeout of data imports from 5 to 30 mins.

  • Fixed a bug where Stripe integration could record the wrong payment value if the Quote value was altered during the payment process.

  • Fixed a bug where the “createdby” user value would be duplicated when duplicating Equipment.

  • Fixed a bug where the “Customer Types” setting would show per Operating Company, despite the list not being Operating Company specific.

  • Fixed a bug where the notepad wouldn't correctly identify Enquiries that had been converted to Problems.

  • Fixed a bug where the CRM would crash if you navigated to a -42 record and then pressed back.

  • Fixed a crash when viewing records with “[]” in their name.

  • Fixed a performance problem when viewing a Report containing lots of pages.

  • Rephrased the plugin on hold system option to be clearer that it puts orders on hold.
