Bulk updating is an efficient way of updating your data without having to update records one by one. This article will show you how to bulk update B2B records to B2C records based on their price tier. For example, you may have some B2C customers that were incorrectly categorised as B2B, but share the same price tier such as 'Retail'. Using this shared price tier, we can bulk convert the right records from B2B to B2C.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need CRM Bulk Update Rights to follow the steps in this article

Step 1: Navigate to Companies

In the navigation menu, click on 'People & Places' and select 'Companies' from the drop-down.

Step 2: Applying Filters

Click on the further options menu (three dots in the top right-hand corner of the Report) and select 'Filter'.

This then will give you the option to 'Add Filter', as well as customise filters already applied to your Companies Report. Click on the 'Add Filter' button, then in the 'Search fields' bar, search for 'Price List'.

Alternatively, expand the Company section by clicking 'Show More' to gain access to more fields. Scroll down to Default Sales Ledger, and again click the 'Show More' button. Under the Default Sales Ledger field, scroll down and select 'Price List'.

Tick the Price List field then select 'Continue' to save your selection of filters.

Step 3: Configuring your Filter

Filter your Companies based on Price Tier by simply choosing the Price Lists you wish to filter by.

Step 4: Performing a Bulk Action

Now that you've selected the Price Tier you wish to filter by, click on the further options menu (three dots in the top right-hand corner of the Report) and select 'Perform Bulk Action'. This then gives you the option to either 'Select All' or individually select the records you'd like to update by ticking the tick boxes to the left of the Company name.

Once you've selected the Companies to update, select the 'Choose Action' button.

You can then choose to 'Convert to B2C'.
