Please note: this feature is in Preview at the moment, which means we're still making a few tweaks here and there to make it even better. It also means that while all customers can benefit from this feature right now, when it's out of Preview it may be restricted to certain subscriptions.

Product Groups determine the structure of your website and, in particular, how your product items are displayed. It's crucial to have logical and up-to-date product group names so your customers can easily find the required product item.

Step 1: Enter Product Groups Report

In the navigation menu, select 'Products' and then 'Product Groups'. From here, either click into 'Product Groups' as a whole or the particular group you want to update.

Step 2: Navigate to the Import Option

Once within your selected product groupings to update, navigate to the top right-hand corner to find the 'Import Product Groupings' button. Click this icon to take you to the 'Import Product Item Groupings (Preview)'.

Step 3: Download Excel Template

Click the 'Download Template' option to download a template Excel file containing the fields that are available to update. Open this in Excel file from your Downloads and populate records to import.

Step 4: Input Data

The three CRM fields highlighted in the spreadsheet below are are able to be updated by either inserting or deleting a product from a group. Once correctly filled out and checked for errors, this can be saved to your PC. Head into the CRM and press 'Next', then drag and drop the file into the uploads area.

Step 5: Validating the Data

The CRM will then validate the data for any errors. Any errors will be highlighted in red, and you can see the error message by hovering over the items highlighted. Once approved, press 'Next' and your import will begin running.

Step 6: Import Complete

You'll be notified by email notification when the import is complete, and it'll appear in your Data Imports Report, showing how many rows were processed successfully.
