Please note: this feature is in Preview at the moment, which means we're still making a few tweaks here and there to make it even better. It also means that while all customers can benefit from Goals right now, when it's out of Preview it may be restricted to certain subscriptions.

Setting Goals for your business can be an important factor in your success. Our first Goal type includes Sales by Customer and by Account Manager! In future, we'll be looking to expand this functionality to include other Goal types too.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need Goals enabled in your CRM - click here to see how to enable this

Creating a Goal

Step 1: Navigate to Goals

To start creating Goals, navigate to Settings from the left hand menu and select 'Goals (Preview)'.

Step 2: Creating a New Goal

To create a new Goal, select the 'Create New Goal' button.

Step 3: Choosing Goal Types

Next, choose the type of Goal you want to create. Simply use the 'Type of Goal' and 'Measurement' drop-downs to configure these.

At the moment we have 'Sales' as the only available Type of Goal, but there are plans to add more options here soon.

You're also able to measure your Goals by either Customer or by Account Manager using the drop-down.

Setting Goals by Customer

Step 1: Measurement & Customer

Select the 'Revenue by Customer' option, then decide which customer the goal relates to. You can do this by clicking the search button to open the customer search.

Here, simply search for and select the customers you wish to set the Goal for.

Once selected, click 'Create'.

Step 2: Setting Revenue Targets

You can then set your revenue targets by clicking the plus buttons under each month against each Company. Then, enter your target and click the 'Update' button.

**Tip:** Select the 'Apply to remainder of year' option if the monthly target is the same each month.

Settings Goals by Account Manager

Step 1: Select Account Manager Measurement

Select the 'Revenue by Account Manager' option, which will then bring up a list of all your Account Managers. Simply tick the Account Managers you'd like included in your Goal, then click 'Create'.

Step 2: Setting Revenue Targets

You can then set your revenue targets using the plus buttons under each month against each Account Manager. Then, enter your target and click the 'Create' button.

**Tip:** Select the 'Apply to remainder of year' option if the monthly target is the same each month.

Viewing Goal Performance

To view your sales performance so far, scroll to the right and select 'View Performance'.

Here, you can check out your performance to date, and hover over any part of the graph for more detailed insights.
