The quickest way to update multiple Account Managers at once is by using our bulk update tool. Following these steps will show you how to use the tool from a CRM Report.
Prerequisites
You need to have the right to bulk update within the CRM
Step 1: Selecting Companies you Wish to Bulk Update
Navigate to a CRM Report that includes Company information. For example, the Companies search within 'People & Places'.
Before you perform the bulk update you can apply filters to get a more precise list of Companies, e.g. filtering by Address to bulk update the Account Manager of all Companies within a certain location.
Once you've applied the required filters on the Report, click the further options menu (three dots) in the top right-hand corner and select the 'Perform Bulk Action' option.
From here you select the Companies you want to update, or click 'Select All'.
Once you have selected the relevant Companies, click 'Choose Action', then 'Update Fields'.
Step 2: Selecting the Account Manager
You'll then be presented with all the fields you could bulk update. From here, select 'Account Manager' from the list. It's worth noting that there are two Account Manger options here - one under the Company level and one under the Company Group level. It'll depend where you assign Account Managers as to which one you use. If you're unsure, simply search for 'Account Manager' within your Settings Centre and you'll see which level you assign Account Managers.
Step 3: Performing the Bulk Update
Once you've selected the correct Account Manager field, click 'Update' in the bottom right-hand corner to perform the bulk update.
