Changing the Initial Quote ID

Change the initial Quote ID to bring this unique reference in line with your internal referencing methods.

The Quote ID is a unique reference that each Quote record will be assigned. Using the Quote ID as a reference on customer Quote documents makes it easier to find the Quote if the customer emails in, referencing that Quote ID. If you already have an internal reference method in place, you can change the initial Quote ID to bring this in line with your sequential internal reference.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need CRM Admin rights in order to follow the steps in this article

Step 1: Go to System Settings

To access the setting to change the initial Quote ID, go to the navigation menu and select Settings > System Settings. From here, search for "Initial Quote Number" in the search bar.

Step 2: Input your Initial ID Number Value

Simply input the initial ID number value you'd like the CRM to start from. The Quote ID will then start from that value and increase sequentially.
