Define which custom fields in QuickBooks Online will be populated with the Customer Reference and Quote ID from a CRM Quote or Order. Having this information posting through to QuickBooks Online is useful for linking your QuickBooks orders back to the original Quote within the CRM.
Prerequisites
You'll need CRM Admin rights in order to follow the steps in this article
Step 1: Go to the Settings Centre
To select which QuickBooks Online custom fields to post into, head to the System Settings.
Step 2: Search for 'QuickBooks Custom Fields'
In the search bar, search for 'QuickBooks Custom Fields'.
Step 3: Select QuickBooks Custom Fields
Simply select which QuickBooks custom fields you wish to post both Customer Reference and Quote ID to from the drop-downs.
For Customer Reference, if set to "Auto", the CRM will try and find a custom field in QuickBooks Online called "Your Reference", and will then use that as the destination for the Customer Reference. If no field is matched, the Customer Reference will not be set on the record in QuickBooks Online.
Selecting options 1-3 will use the corresponding custom field in QuickBooks Online.
Please note: If both values are set to the same custom field, the values will be overwritten. Please select different custom field numbers for the Customer Reference and the Quote ID.
