Please note: We use Release Rings to systematically roll out new features to users in a way that minimises risk. This means that new updates aren't rolled out to every user on the day they're shipped. Instead, new versions are gradually delivered to a small percentage of customers each day within our specified Release Rings. Of course, if customers report issues with the new update, we can then pause the rollout while we investigate. So, if you can't see the newest updates yet, don't worry - you'll receive them in the next few weeks.
🧙♂️ Magic Matrix (Private Preview) Improvements
We’ve continued to work on the all new Magic Matrix set of features. We've created an initial Magic Matrix Dashboard in this version which shows a few of the tiles we’re planning on including in the final version. We’ve also updated the UI for matrix category selection and added a configuration list for specifying custom matrix categories (if the categories that are set up in your Inventory Management system aren't ideal for using in the Magic Matrix analysis).
This feature is still in private preview, meaning that most of you won't have seen anything yet. But, we're slowly increasing the number of customers in the preview programme, so if you are keen to try it, and give us your feedback, please contact us to arrange a demo.
🖼️ Support for Logos in Company Branding Settings
We’ve updated the operating company branding system to fully support logos.
This logo then automatically appears in the Customer Portal (if you're using the Quote-to-Order Workflow). Just upload the logo to the branding system and no need to do anything else.
The same logo can then also be used as a merge field in your Word document templates or email templates (including in HTML email quotes). Just use the merge code: {Branding.Logo} (or select this as a merge field from the fields when using the email template editor).
🔢 Improved (and Automatic) Handling of Decimal Places
Lots of Inventory Management and ERP systems allow for 2, 3, 4 or more decimal places in prices and quantity fields. But, that doesn't mean you always want to use all those decimal places. In fact, we know that most users want to enter and display quantities without decimal places (e.g. a quantity of 5, not 5.0000), and prices to two decimal places (e.g. $5.95 and not $5.9500).
So, by default, this is what the CRM now does. When you're building a quotation, the CRM only displays the extra decimal places if they're being used. Otherwise, it defaults to showing a simpler screen and generating simpler quotation documents for your customers.
For inputting quotation data via the CRM user interface, there's a new system option called "simple quote inputs" which is set to 'On' by default. When enabled, excess decimal places will only be shown if they're significant (and supported by your Inventory Management, Accounting or ERP system). This means you’ll no longer see prices and quantities as 0.0000 when using Unleashed just because it theoretically supports 4 decimals.
In addition, we’ve also updated the Word quote table configuration to allow you to specify how many decimal places the various price fields should show to, on a field-by-field basis. By default, these are set to null, which will cause the system to automatically calculate the largest number of significant decimal places used in that column (for the current quotation) and then display all rows with that number of decimals - meaning customers get simple but consistent quotes. Your customers will see all currency values neatly aligned with a consistent number of decimals - but without loads of unnecessary zeros at the end - perfect!
🛍️ Delivery Method & Delivery Notes Support for Unleashed
On a sales order in Unleashed, there are two fields for Delivery Method and Delivery Notes.
Delivery Notes in Unleashed is now populated from the CRM's Delivery Notes fields, found in the Address page on a Quote. (Note, previously, the CRM Delivery Notes fields were populated into the Unleashed's Comments field - this is no longer the case).
There's also now a new field in the CRM that allows you to select the "Delivery Method" on a CRM Quote or order, which will be pushed through to Unleashed when the order is confirmed.
But, if you're looking for greater automation, it's also possible to configure the CRM so that specific Unleashed Delivery Methods are mapped to CRM delivery charges. Doing this will cause the Delivery Method field to be automatically set based on the CRM delivery charge.
