Document Templates help ensure all messages being sent to your customers are on-brand, whilst also saving CRM users time and effort. Within Document Templates, you can include search and replace fields to dynamically populate information. These can include date fields e.g. today's date, price expiry, estimated delivery date etc.

If your business uses US date formats, then you'll need to amend these date search and replace fields to output in this format.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need CRM Admin rights in order to follow the steps in this article

Step 1: Open Document Template

Firstly, navigate to the Document Template that needs its date search and replace fields amending. You can find a list of your Document Templates here.

To edit one of the templates click the pencil icon.

Step 2: Amend Date Search & Replace Field

Within our example template, we have a Price Expiry search and replace field {EndDate}. By default, this will output with the following date format:

MM/DD/YYYY

To amend the way this outputs, you need to specify the format required within the search and replace field e.g. {EndDate:MM/dd/yyyy}. By using this search and replace field, the date would output instead as MM/DD/YYYY.

Please Note you can search for the field using the merge field search bar.

Step 3: Save Changes

Once you've updated this field, make sure to click the 'Save' button for this to take effect.
