Please note: We use Release Rings to systematically roll out new features to users in a way that minimises risk. This means that new updates aren't rolled out to every user on the day they're shipped. Instead, new versions are gradually delivered to a small percentage of customers each day within our specified Release Rings. Of course, if customers report issues with the new update, we can then pause the rollout while we investigate. So, if you can't see the newest updates yet, don't worry - you'll receive them in the next few weeks.
😎 UI Updates Phase 1
This version introduces some significant visual updates to the platform bar and its menus. The aim of these updates is to make the product easier to navigate and understand by making the navigation consistent with the experience found in other products, as well as visually emphasising the most important user actions (such as searching and creating new records).
We've also improved the behaviour of this part of the product on mobile devices and added a mobile menu system that should make navigation easier on both iPhone and Android.
We'll be updating more areas of the UI in future releases, including more updates to improve the mobile user experience (on phones).
🤓 New Report UI
We’ve also added a preview for our new report group navigation which should make the process of viewing and finding Reports much easier. This includes the ability to favourite Reports, search for them, and view popular and frequently accessed Reports. For now, users will be able to switch between the traditional Report view and the new one at will.
Once you've all had time to try the new navigation, and give us any feedback on anything that's not quite right, we intend to retire the traditional UI and move all users to the new one.
🤓 Data importer feedback (Private Preview Only)
The new data importer is still in private preview. Most users won't have even seen this yet, so don't panic if you aren't sure what this refers to, but for the sake of completeness we've included this information for anyone who has been trialling the new importer:
- Added a link to view the status of past imports
- Added an automated update that relates imported records back to the original import source with a link via the record UI.
- At the end of the import, the user is now offered a spreadsheet of all the lines that couldn’t be imported to help with fixing issues
- Required columns are now highlighted with an asterisk in the template spreadsheet
- The import is now ignoring any columns and rows containing blank data or missing headers instead of erroring
- The opco is now optional if you only have one opco in the system
- Fixed some pre-upload validation errors
