✅ New Tasks System Enabled Globally

After completing an extensive preview process, we’re excited to announce that our new Tasks feature has now been rolled out to all CRM users.

The new Tasks experience was designed in collaboration with a dedicated UI/UX team, bringing to life some of the most impactful ideas around tasks management. From initial concept to final release, we’ve worked closely with some of our customers through an Early Adopters Programme to make sure this update truly meets your needs.

Adapting to Task Changes


This update replaces the previous Tasks (also known as ‘Recalls’), and all existing Tasks will be automatically migrated, with no data loss.

However, as part of this update, you may need to adjust existing workflows or CRM Reports to align with the new Tasks behaviour. For example, if you’re using any custom CRM Reports, it’s likely you’ll need to replace references to the old Task entity, ‘Recall (Legacy)’, with the new entity, 'Task'. While this may initially feel disruptive, the new Tasks system introduces several powerful enhancements - including new fields like Priority, Description, and Outcome - giving you greater flexibility to customise and refine your reporting.

The new system introduces a range of valuable improvements such as:

  • Team Collaboration Made Easy - Multiple team members can now seamlessly work together on the same Company, Contact, Opportunity, Enquiry, or Problem, boosting transparency and teamwork.

  • Break Down Complex Workflows - Tackle larger Opportunities or Problems by splitting them into smaller, manageable tasks that can be completed either sequentially or in parallel.

  • Lightweight Project Management - Organize and track work efficiently without complex dependencies or critical paths.

  • Flexible Task Creation - Tasks can be created independently, giving you more freedom to manage work outside of specific records.

  • Smarter Tracking & Accountability - Enjoy improved visibility into who created and completed tasks, making it easier to monitor progress and ownership.

  • Enhanced Productivity Insights - Get clearer reporting on team activity and performance to help identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Effortless Task Reassignment - Reassign tasks between team members with ease, helping you stay agile as priorities shift.

➕ Easier Record Creation

We’ve improved the visibility of the record creation buttons on search windows by making them into a clear call to action at the top of the screen. This is in response to feedback where some users found it difficult to quickly identify the create button if they were unfamiliar with the UI.

🌏 Improved Document Performance for Customers in the APAC Region

We’ve rolled out a new document storage system in the APAC data center which should significantly improve the time it takes to create or download documents in that region. This should improve the performance of many aspects of the system, from sending a Quote to uploading Proposals and generating PDFs.

🐛 Other Fixes and Enhancements

  • Report tiles can now be made using any report, defaulting to the row count if no other aggregates are specified

  • Added a button to systems integrated to Factory Master which allows the delivery address of a Quote to be updated after it has been confirmed

  • Updated Factory Master integration to attempt to delete Orders which encounter an error mid way through creation

  • Updated Factory Master integration to permit the setting of sell prices via the CRM

  • Added support for the EORI number field in Factory Master

  • Updated Sage integration to allow the price list to be selected to allow accurate quoting before the ledger is created

  • Added “Sales Ledger” as a field to the default Company creation screen

  • It is now possible to amend Sales Ledgers after they have been created, but before they have been pushed to an on premise system

  • Added an option for Quote Tables to allow you to pick between px and pt font sizes

  • The Sales Order screen now shows totals at the bottom, below the list of lines, to be more consistent with the Quote view

  • Fixed a crash when attempting to edit a group title in the customiser

  • Fixed a bug where switching from one template to another, where the second has “auto-populate to address” disabled would not clear the to address

  • Fixed the delivery name not being passed through to the “CustomerName” field in Factory Master

  • Updated user imports to skip user creation if another user already exists with the same external id (to avoid duplication in situations where a user has had their email and name changed)

  • Improved the consistency of the confirm button on Quotes with a pipeline vs those without

  • Improved the appearance of the Enquiry Form column count field to make sure it is clearly editable

  • Fixed an issue that prevented some on premise Orders from being retried if they failed to get marked as confirmation in progress

  • Fixed a bug that prevented job title updates from being correctly synchronised to CRM

  • Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause product images to be marked as deleted if they were accessed via an invalid URL in the CMS

  • Fixed a bug where some Unleashed categories would fail to import if there were a very large number

  • Fixed the incorrect cost price decimals being used on the product item screen

  • Fixed the default phone link activity type not functioning in the new Tasks system

  • Fixed a bug where the task “Assigned to” title would appear on every instance of the field when used in a report

  • Updated Quote duplication to clear card payment details if present

  • Fixed a bug that could cause some records to be created with a single character primary key instead of a full length one

  • Fixed a bug where the Financials integration would import receipt Headers as Sales Transactions

  • Fixed a filter discrepancy on the last month/this month orders tile for B2C records

  • Fixed a bug that caused price tiers not to correctly match in Cin7 Omni if they had a different case
