Registration.NET Plug-in

Outlines functionality of the Registration.net plugin that can be used to create an account on your eCommerce site.

Updated today

Supported CRM versions

You must be on Prospect365. Version 6 customers will need to continue using the old User Registration plug-in which no longer supports CAPTCHA. Google discontinued Captcha v1 in March 2018.

Default Account Manager

Set the Default Account Manager field to a valid option, or _*_ for none. If this property is left empty, records may not be visible in the CRM due to the user restriction functionality in place. To set a specific account manager for the new accounts, you should use the user code for the account manager in place of the _*_

Migrating from User Registration plug-in

Take a screenshot of the current plug-in settings, and also copy & paste the text from the Email boxes so you don't have to type it all out again.

In the plug-in selection box on the top right, swap the content item to the new Registration (.net) plug-in. Some settings will be migrated over, others you will have to match up with the original plug-in.

Copy the old email text into the new plug-in boxes.

Open the live website in a new tab/window so you can see whether it has any specific CSS styling applied that you will need to replicate on the new plugin, and if it has any custom fields (see section below "Custom Fields").

Preview the page in a new tab to see the layout of the new plug-in, and restyle if necessary:

Custom Fields

The Custom Fields section removes the need for a bespoke form or a "further details" page. You can add in fields for any of the standard database tables/fields and customize the labels.

Simply click 'Add' under this section, and you will be able to select which field you wish to use, along with which type of form element it is:

Captcha Validation

To use Captcha v2 validation, you must have a Captcha key set up in their Google account. This must be valid for the www and non-www domains along with our internal staging domain.

You can get this list in the CMS by going to Home > Site Properties > Edit Domains. The reCAPTCHA key needs to be set up for ALL the domains shown.

You will need to supply us with the Site and Secret keys. They can get the keys by logging into https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin?pli=1#list

You should then select reCAPTCHA v2, add your domains, press register and then Google should present the reCAPTCHA keys.

For security, we have censored the important information on this page in the below screenshot. The keys censored in red are what you will need to input into the plugin. Do not worry about the 'Client side integration' code, this is all automatically output by the plug-in.

Once you have these, select 'Google reCaptcha' in the Anti-spam System drop-down and put the keys in the correct fields in the plug-in:

This will then generate the reCaptcha box under the registration form:
