Prerequisites

  • You'll need a CRM Free Trial - if you don't already have one go ahead and register at signup.prospect365.com

  • You'll need a log in to your Cin7 Omni account to access the API keys and set the correct permissions

Step 1: Connect to Cin7 Omni

In the Welcome page within your Free Trial account, the first section involves setting up your integration.

If the Welcome page isn't already open, then go to Settings, then click 'Continue Setup'. Alternatively, go directly to crm.prospect365.com/welcome.

To get up, select the 'Connect' button, and choose 'Cin7' from the drop-down list.

Step 2: Find your Cin7 Omni API Username & Key

In a separate tab in your browser, log in to Cin7 Omni and go to the Settings in the top right-hand corner by clicking on your profile icon.

Navigate to the Integrations area and click on the 'API v1' link as shown below.

Then, copy your Cin7 Omni Username exactly as it appears under the API Setup area, and paste it into the 'Username' field in the CRM.

Next, press the 'Add API Connection' button in Cin7 Omni.

It'll ask you to provide a name, so type in something like "Prospect Integration", then click the 'Save' button.

Important: You'll then be presented with your unique API Key. This will only ever show once, so copy this exactly as it appears, and paste it into Notepad temporarily - you'll need to use this shortly, so keep it safe!

Step 3: Set Permissions in Cin7 Omni

Before going any further, make sure you have the correct API Connection Permissions in Cin7 Omni. Click 'Permissions' which can be found directly under the API Connections section.

Make sure all the permissions are ticked on (blue ticks) exactly the same as what's shown in our screenshot below:

Then, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the table to update the permissions.

Step 4: Copy & Paste API Key into the CRM

Go to Notepad, and copy and paste the API Key you kept safe into the 'Key' field back in the CRM.

Once you've pasted both your Cin7 Omni Username and Key into the CRM fields, press the blue 'Next' button.

If you require any assistance with this, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us.

Step 5: Sit Back & Relax!

Once connected, you'll then see a message in the CRM saying that your data is importing from Cin7 Omni. Depending on how much data you have to import e.g. if you have lots of customers, products and sales history, it'll take a little longer.

Checking the Status of your Integration

There's nothing more you need to do. Your data will be available shortly, and when it is, we'll add a few more links to your Welcome page to get you started.

But, if you need to come back and check the status of your integration later on, our short guide here will show you how, and explains what each status means.

Should you experience any issues when setting up the integration, remember that our Customer Success team are on hand to help out, so don't hesitate to get in contact with us here or start a chat conversation with us from the help icon in the app, or the chat link on our website.

Further Options: Configuring Tax Rates

Before you start sending out Quotes and taking orders via the CRM, you'll want to configure your CRM tax rates to match your Cin7 Omni tax rates. Click here to find out how to configure your CRM tax rates.
