Google Analytics tracks your website, and provides insights into how users interact with and find your website. This information is then fed back to your Google Analytics account, which can then be reported on.

Step 1: Find your Global Site Tag

You'll need to log in to your Google Analytics account to find your Global Site Tag. Here's a helpful guide on how to locate it.

Step 2: Go to CMS Editor

To add this tag into your CMS Editor, you need to edit the HTML templates. To do this, click on the ‘Edit Layout’ button in the Page section of the ribbon bar.

Google recommends adding the Global Site Tag near to the top of the section and before any other script or CSS tags.

By selecting ‘Edit Layout’, it'll open up some code which will look similar to the example below.

Step 3: Add your Global Site Tag

You can then copy your Global Site Tag from Google Analytics and paste it into the section of this layout. It should look something like this when you’re finished.

Step 4: Repeat on All Templates

This process will need to be repeated for every template in your site. You can see all your templates in the tree view on the left-hand side of the page.
