Configuring Product Restrictions

This article outlines how to configure your Product Restrictions within the CRM.

Setting up Product restrictions can be really useful in a number of distribution or manufacturing scenarios to ensure you sell the right products to the right customers. For more information on how product restrictions could help your business, take a look at our short article here.

Prerequisites

  • You'll need CRM Admin rights in order to follow the steps in this article

Step 1: Go to Settings Centre

To edit your Product Restrictions, click on the settings drop down, then select System Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Products & Stock in Settings

Once within the Settings Centre, navigate to the Products & Stock page, and scroll down until you reach the Product Restriction configure option.

Step 3: Configure Product Restrictions

By selecting the 'Click here to Configure' link, the Configure Product Restrictions window will open. Here, all of your current Product Restrictions will be listed. To add a new one, simply click on the plus icon in the top right-hand corner.

You'll then be asked to give the Product Restriction a Description. Make sure this is relevant to the scenario where this will be used, so all CRM users understand when this restriction should be applied. Click 'Create'.
