Changing a Status

This article outlines how to set and change a status on an Opportunity or Problem.

A status, on an Opportunity or Problem, is used to track its progress through certain steps from start to finish. These statuses can be set to have a Task required, which means that a user of the CRM has to take ownership of the record.ย 

Please note: Our CRM has a fresh new look! This video shows the old interface, so some layouts and element locations may differ from the CRM you know today. While the functionality is the same, we appreciate your patience as we work on updating our articles.

Step 1: Viewing the Status

To view the status of an Opportunity or Problem, simply open the record, and the Status tile is displayed on the right-hand side of the Details page.


Step 2: Setting the Status

To change the status of a record, click on the Status field and select one of the available options from the drop-down. The example drop-down has been taken from an Opportunity record.
