Validate your DNS records
Click into your DNS settings and check that the record type is set to CNAME.
If the record type is incorrect, contact your domain provider or IT support team to correct it.
If validation fails, remove any unnecessary data from the record fields, such as
.yourdomain.com, then try validating again.
π Note: DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate. If validation fails shortly after making changes, wait and try again.
DNS and CNAME records
DNS records direct internet traffic to the correct servers. CNAME (Canonical Name) records are a type of DNS record used to alias one domain name to another. Correctly setting up CNAME records is essential for domain verification in Access CRM.
β οΈ Important: Your DNS records must be set up as CNAME type. Records set up as DATA or HOST type cannot be validated.
Identify your domain provider
If you are unsure who your domain provider is:
Contact your IT team or website support team: they can confirm where your domain is registered and where DNS is managed.
Check whether your website uses a platform like WordPress. These platforms typically manage website content but are not usually your domain provider.
Troubleshoot common issues
If you continue to experience issues with DNS validation:
Confirm that your CNAME records have been updated with the correct domain provider.
Check that any recent DNS changes have fully propagated.
Consult your domain provider's support documentation or contact their customer service team directly.
π€ Tip: You can also contact Access CRM support if you need further help with domain validation.
